I learned from a very young age, that even the simplest of acts can be imbued with greater love and beauty when there is ceremony added. That is what I hope to share and create with you as you prepare yourselves for your wedding day and as you enter the magnificent sacrament and sanctity of marriage.
Before your wedding we will meet and discuss your intentions and desires for your wedding day by asking the simple question: What do you want? We will delve into and discuss some of the basic tenets in building a lifelong marriage and create personalized rites honoring those essential elements be they funky, traditional or somewhere in between.
Through my work with Slow Family Living, I will present to you some simple tools of understanding where you are now as a couple, where you want to go and how you want your wedding to represent what you want from your marriage. We can then honor these basic beliefs in your wedding ceremony with ritual, pomp and sacred splendor, to help you thoughtfully, creatively and ceremoniously bring them into your lifelong union.
Using elements of craft, and with the help of the unparalleled sewing skills of my Future Craft Collective partner Kathie Sever, we can create and craft sacred marriage scrolls, customized banners, ceremonial prayer flags, hand fasting cords, magic wands and more, to use in your celebration as tangible symbols of your love and commitment, and to revisit throughout the days of your marriage.
